Vianočný bazár je našou hlavnou charitatívnou činnosťou. Bazár je organizovaný členmi klubov a koná sa každý rok na konci novembra.

Pani Gašparovičová je v roku 2012 čestnou členkou IWCB
Manželka prezidenta SR pani Silvia Gašparovičová prijala dňa 4. apríla 2012 v Prezidentskom paláci v Bratislave predstaviteľky Medzinárodného klubu žien v Bratislave (IWCB). Prezidentka klubu pani Lenka Peugniez jej pri tejto príležitosti slávnostne odovzdala certifikát o jej čestnom členstve v Medzinárodnom klube žien v Bratislave na rok 2012.
Pani Gašparovičová dlhodobo podporuje najmä charitatívne aktivity klubu, ako je napr. tradičný charitatívny Vianočný bazár a už od roku 2005 je čestnou členkou klubu. V roku 2011 sa na 21. ročníku Vianočného bazára podarilo vyzbierať spolu 90.147,- EUR, ktoré budú použité na pomoc rozličným organizáciám, domom seniorov, detským domovom či nemocniciam na Slovensku. Medzinárodný klub žien v Bratislave združuje od roku 1991 viac ako 140 žien z rozličných krajín žijúcich na Slovensku. Členkami sú často i manželky veľvyslancov pôsobiacich na Slovensku.

Vianočný bazár je známy, ako najväčšia Bratislavská medzinárodná charitatívna akcia. Zahraničné veľvyslanectvá a charitatívne organizácie majú zriadené stánky s potravinami a produktami a celý výťažok ide na charitatívne projekty na Slovensku. Bazár sa koná v novembri každý rok.

V roku 2010 bolo viac ako 4500 návštevníkov, 38 národných stolov a 9 charitatívnych stolov, 4 školy s aktivitami pre deti, účasť Rotary a Lions Club a mnoho ďalších sponzorov, ktorí pomohli s ich službami a know-how. Na konto pribudlo 87.406,21 EUR , čo bol nový rekord!

Peniaze sú 100% rozdelené uznávaným charitatívnym organizáciám po celom Slovensku.Komisia IWCB posúdi žiadosti a špecifické potreby charitatívnych organizácií.

Kedy to všetko začalo?
Prvý Vianočný bazár sa konal v roku 1990.

MRS. GAŠPAROVIČOVÁ IS THE 2012 IWCB HONORARY MEMBER

First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová received on 4th April 2012 in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava representatives of the International Women's Club of Bratislava (IWCB). IWCB President Mrs. Lenka Peugniez presented her on this occasion with the certificate of Honorary membership in the International Women's Club of Bratislava for the year 2012.

Mrs. Gašparovičová has long supported charitable activities of the club, such as the traditional charity Christmas bazaar and since 2005 she is an honorary member of the club. In 2011, 90,147 EUR were collected at the 21st Christmas bazaar, which will be used to help various organizations, seniors´ houses, children's homes and hospitals in Slovakia. Since 1991 the International Women's Club of Bratislava brings together more than 140 women from different countries living in Slovakia, often they are spouses of ambassadors accredited in Slovakia.

The Christmas Bazaar is our main charity activity. The Bazaar is organized by the clubs members and it takes place every year in the end of November.

It is known as Bratislava's biggest international fund-raising event. Foreign embassies and charitable organizations set up stands selling food and products and all proceeds goes to charitable projects in Slovakia. The bazaar takes place in November every year.

In 2010 we had over 4.500 visitors, 38 national tables, 9 charity tables, 4 schools with children's activities, participation from the Rotary and Lions club and many more sponsors who helped with their service and know-how. 87.406,21 Euros were raised, which was a new record!

The money is 100% distributed to recognized charity organizations all over Slovakia. The IWCB Charity committee assesses the applications and specific needs of the charitable organizations.

Why is there a Christmas Bazaar?

The IWC Bazaar started when foreign ladies decided to organize a charity event to give something back to the community they lived in. It is the biggest fundraiser and is a wonderful opportunity for countries to introduce themselves with their products, national dresses, etc. to the Slovak public. For companies it is a convenient way of product placement, especially because the Christmas Bazaar is a well known event in Bratislava and widely covered by all media.

Who does what?
The embassies organize their national goods and sell them at their tables, find sponsors for products, money or barter. The IWCB organizes everything that is connected to the day itself, i.e. the venue, the decoration, tombola, insurance, ticket sales etc.

When did it all start?
The first Christmas bazaar took place in 1990.
