Preparations for the next year's VodaFest Czech and Slovak Festival aare well under way and we have good news for you.The date has been confirmed so you can save the date the 22nd of November 2014. If you visited the festival before you'll know that you're going to be able to taste traditional Czech and Slovak food, various kinds of beer and lots more! And you know what they say about the Czech beer - apparently it is the best in the world so you better come and try some. Do not forget to add this date to your calendar!

As you can see the VodaFest Czech and Slovak Association is here to help the community and support the Czech and Slovak culture in Australia. If you'd like to be be part of this great cause you might like to consider becoming a member of the Association. It is a great opportunity for everyone to to get to know new people and have fun while bringing to life some of the Czech and Slovak culture and traditions.

Our Program Director Paula is looking to bring you an exciting program this year with the Czech folkloric band RADEGAST making its way to Australia to perform at VodaFest 2014. Incorporating a unique musical instrument "cimbal", dulcimer in English, Radegast is promising to perform not only famous folkloric tunes but also a unique spin on modern music, such as Metallica! We can't wait!
This year we have invited all the Czech and Slovak associations to showcase their culinary skills, so let's see who will step up to the challenge! Klobasy, halusky, goulash, kapustnica and other dishes are in the pipework! We'll announce the final menu in October. If you love Czech and Slovak food and want to be part of the action, join our team. We have a few positions available on the Sweet Team, Hot Team or BBQ Team :-)

To be a volunteer is not just work but also a rewarding experience. Being part of an exciting event, making a difference in your community and joining the team of fellow volunteers for a fun day is what it's all about. And this year we have planned a Volunteer After Party to celebrate you, the people who make a difference. After all VodaFest Czech and Slovak Festival is made of volunteers. Every year we strive to enhance our visitor's experience, be it rain or sunshine. And we have had both! Being immersed in unique sounds, flavours and visual experience we want every visitor to enjoy themselves and look forward to the following year. We also look to support worthy community projects that are in line with the purpose of VodaFest's existence. Feel free to bring any such projects to our attention.
